About Us
Launched in May 2003, the New Penny Theatre
Company is High Wycombe's
newest theatre company. We will be performing at the Swan Theatre, High Wycombe at least once a year plus smaller
productions at the Wycombe Town Hall & the New Elgiva Theatre
in Chesham. We do hope that you will join us to find out about
this exciting new venture.
Mission Statement
The initial aims of the company are:
.To provide high quality,
non-professional, theatre productions within Buckinghamshire.
.
To
be a producing management, creating exciting opportunities through
open auditions for suitably talented performers and technicians.
.To ensure that all productions are cast by open audition, details
and dates of which will be announced well in advance.
.To ensure that all auditionees and interested parties will be
kept informed of the casting of each production and future plans.
.To ensure that all cast and crewmembers pay a performance fee,
set in advance by the management board, for each production. This
is to offset a small part of the considerable costs of even non-professional
theatre in the 21st century-
.To positively encourage new directors, musical directors, and
choreographers. The Management Board will select the production
team to best suit the production.
.To perform a minimum of two annual productions in high quality
venues within the Buckinghamshire area.
.To perform a variety of theatrical productions
from large scale Musicals to small cast plays, from big Concerts
to intimate Revues, selecting a wide variety of entertainment,
including well-known titles and lesser-known, but worthwhile, works.
